A friend of mine has blogged his nightmare with Vista. Apple picked up on this trend with one of their, “Hi, I’m a Mac” ads.

  1. You might find this even more amusing. Apple ran a “switch” ad that only appeared on a few web sites. Fortunately, someone captured it on YouTube.

    But your friend’s nightmare is, unfortunately, not unique. I’ve actually read a few accounts where a brand new PC (an HP pavilion, if you’re curious) with Vista pre-loaded, crashes during its initial boot-up.

    I guess Microsoft decided that people shouldn’t have to wait to discover the true pain of running Vista, so they pre-crash it in the factory. (Coming next week: one free starter virus in every box. Collect the set.)
